The Human and Nature DYnamical (HANDY) Model Predicts the fall of Modern Society
For 30 years, I dealt with the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA) on almost a daily basis. I know their rules. One of their most hallowed rules was that you
had to be able to document where the money came from for any activity you did on
their behalf. Also, if you use their
money, you tell your audience that you used their money (kinda like “your tax
dollars at work”). This was a result of
several contractors raking in large funds for private use by charging it to
activity in support of whatever vehicle they were flying. If you were caught disobeying this rule, you
were sure to lose your job, if not face legal action. I’ve told you this so that I can set the
stage for the topic of this U-Predict broadcast.
Mathematician Safa Motesharrei is a Research Assistant at
SESYNC and a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics/Public Policy at the
University of Maryland (UMD), College Park.
He devised a study on the collapse of civilization. This paper has the following statement within
its opening pages:
"This work was partially funded through NASA/GSFC
[Goddard Space Flight Center] grant NNX12AD03A."
This study used a NASA toolset, the Human and Nature
DYnamical (HANDY) model to determine an obvious by very disturbing fact:
"The fall of the Roman Empire, and the equally (if not
more) advanced Han, Mauryan, and Gupta Empires, as well as so many advanced
Mesopotamian Empires, are all testimony to the fact that advanced,
sophisticated, complex, and creative civilizations can be both fragile and impermanent."
By investigating the human-nature dynamics of these past
cases of collapse, the project identifies the most salient interrelated factors
which explain civilizational decline, and which may help determine the risk of
collapse today: namely, Population, Climate, Water, Agriculture, and Energy.
These factors can lead to collapse when they converge to
generate two crucial social features: "the stretching of resources due to
the strain placed on the ecological carrying capacity"; and "the
economic stratification of society into Elites [rich] and Masses [poor]."
These social phenomena have played "a central role in the character or in
the process of the collapse," in all such cases over "the last five
thousand years."
In other words, our society is participating in the kinds of
actives that lead to collapse in the annals of history. When the research was first released, NASA
said nothing; however within a few days NASA was totally denying that it had
anything at all to do with the study. Of
course, it is easy to see why they would run from such data. Once again, we are back to the “maker/taker”
argument; however, Motesharrei’s study clearly states that the “takers” and
their endless need for wealth and status are the cause of the downfall. With the Supreme Court ruling to give the
wealthy more opportunity to buy legislators and legislations within a few days
of the release of this paper, it is easy to see why a government agency that is
dependent on these bought-and-paid for legislators for their funds (which are
meager), the would not support the research.
So the purpose of this show was to (a) verify that NASA ran from the
results (not very scientific) and (b) see if Tarot would agree with the results
of the study.
We had a fabulous reading room for this show: Ivy Lieberman, Anita Perez, Becky Greywolf,
Patti Phare-Camp, Jean Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, and ReeNee Cummins.
The questions ask of Tarot basically boiled down to two
major concepts: (a) why did NASA claim
no responsibility at all (including monetary) for the study, and (b) was the
study accurate?
The cards wasted no time in telling the Reading Room exactly
what we wanted to know. The card that
was pulled in synchronicity the most was The Devil. Why?
Here we have what is supposed to be a very scientific agency. That has been the sacred trust that they have
held with the citizens of the world; do good, do good science, share the
results. But the answer from both the
cards and the interpretation from the reading room was that the decision was
made to turn their back on the research because it showed exactly what advanced,
collapsing societies are ADDICTED to – power and money. When those most addicted to power and money
are the ones holding the purse strings, it is easy to see why an agency would
break their trust with the general public.
Ivy Lieberman’s interpretation pretty much nailed it –“we have a history
of ignoring those things that stare us in the face.... We also pulled the Judgment Card as another
Major Arcana. This card tells us that we
need to pay attention, to “wake up” to what is going on.
The
Swords spoke out very plainly. The study
was defined by 3 cards – we had the 3 (heartache), the 5 (vanquishing or being
vanquished by an enemy) and the 10 (the final end). It is easy to see that these three cards sum
up the results of the study. The need to
vanquish or be vanquished and the heartache this would cause. The cost of the battle could easily be the 10
of swords – just as the study predicts; another civilization lost to
antiquity. Jean Maurie Puhlman pulled Angel Tarot while
we were reading. At this point, she
pulled Angel Justice, Archangel Raguel – and the advice was to fight for
justice and equality. Rulings will be
made in your favor - Don't give up!
We
pulled the 6 of Cups in synchronicity as well.
This is the card of nostalgia - want to go back to the “good old days”. What is truly sad is that this is not the
answer. We have to all agree to move in
a new direction. This is not going to be
easy. Many people do not want to have to
involve themselves in any kind of political or social process. The study says that if people come to
understand that we are all responsible for the society and our future, we see
the pattern, we can (and should) do something about it).
The
final two synchronistic cards were the Two of Pentacles and the Queen of
Wands. These cards talk about sharing
the study. The NASA behavior should be
ignored in light of the importance of the study. What the study says, and what we can do about
it is the most important thing. The
Queen of Wands is the pragmatic, back to basics queen. The
study encourages living that way.
However, we can talk about the study in a back-to-basics way. It doesn’t matter who is president; it doesn’t
matter who controls Congress; society’s move to the wealthy with all the power
and the average person having none has been going on for over 50 years. In fact, it happened in the 20’s in the last
century which triggered the great depression.
It was “out of the box thinking” that started to turn the country
around.
Tarot
tells us that we are on a slippery slope.
Tarot also tells us that we have been given an opportunity to fix it. To take action to repair our society so that
we can survive, will be up to us. Are you
willing to get involved, U-Predict…

U-Predict – Should we Use Social Medial to Determine Mental Health? (Air date 3/18/2014)
Researcher’s notes:
Doing U-Predict keeps me on my toes.
I don't want it to be a show about every crazy idea that comes along;
listeners and participants don’t want it to be a political recap – though some
political predictions are too tempting to pass up. I feel I've got a good topic when it touches
on current events and affects everyone involved – Reading Room or listening
audience. That’s what made this story so
perfect. I felt the first article I read
had to be a fluke; no one would really consider reviewing social media posts as
a barometer of the poster’s mental health.
I mean we all have the email we want back; the Tweet following a bad
day; the defriending after a rant on any topic under the sun. But someone actually takes these posts
seriously? Then I became shocked – there
were many articles written by professionals saying that social media posts
might be the best way to peek into the working of people’s minds and determine
if they need professional mental health!
The Reading Room for this show included: Ivy Lieberman, Mary Brown (TarotDactyl) Jean
Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, and ReeNee Cummins. We were joined by new reader DivineGoddessEnergy.
So we started by trying to determine if mental illness in
society was serious enough to trigger this activity. Tarot informed us something that most of us
already know. Mental illness is
everywhere. However, in most of society,
it is something that is ignored; the behavior is tolerated. In some cases, the behavior is celebrated –
it gives that person “character.” While
reading about this, the Tower appeared, and Jean Maurie interpreted her Tower
to mean: “there are problems and they are foolish if they think it’s not, people
are narrow about mental health help.” I
totally agreed with her interpretation.
Since I had a key job in an IT group (corporate webmaster),
I reminded everyone that electronic data – emails, web searches, etc. had been
used in the past in legal proceedings.
The advice that we gave employees, when I was working, was that you
didn’t put anything in electronic writing that you didn’t want presented in a
court of law. Other members of the
Reading Room who worked on government contracts had been given the same advice. There was a mention of the NSA spying on the
citizens, but we all agreed that we could do an entire different show on that.
The synchronistic cards we pulled summed up the problem
perfectly. The Fool was the first
synchronistic card that we pulled. One
meaning of the fool is stepping off into unknown territory. We are doing just that. In fact the Fool is a good card to define the
entire dynamic of Social Media. We have
never had the opportunity to gather in a concrete form of the thinking of so
many individuals. People may have had
negative, angry thoughts; they may have been love-sick about a neighbor and
wrote imaginary love notes encouraging them to run away. But because of lack of
understanding and the novelty of the platform people have done unwise things –
posting whatever they wanted under the guise of free speech. No one realizes that while speech is free,
there may be a terrible social or professional price one pays for
speaking/writing it.
The crux of the problem with this situation can be summed up
with The Hierophant. Again, there are
several layers of meaning that can be applied here. First, there is the stigma in American
society about mental illness. "It happens
in other families." "It is the person
sitting next to me – but it is not me or my family." "It is also easy to cure - there are “meetings”
for that." "More time in church will fix
you right up." Tarot Dactyl’s
interpretation was “there's a stalemate”.
Ivy’s interpretation echoed and added: “this will always be a battle. Taking control
of our own mental health helps, but a nation that takes care of its ill of mind
will move toward the future.”
What was interesting is that while we were talking about
this, Jean Maurie was pulling Angel cards.
We got Michael: “You can be free! Make a courageous choice to change
your situation. Not seeing things
clearly” So we need to move beyond The Hierophant and its institutional ideas
about mental health. We need to take
responsibility, first for ourselves. We
need to understand signs and symptoms and what are treatment options.
We also keyed off the
idea of becoming free and changing our situation. In other words, now is the time to think
before we type or Tweet. The Rotarians
have a code when it comes to sharing information: “1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to
all concerned? 3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4. Will it be
beneficial to all concerned?" There
are many forms and memes of this basic idea out there, but perhaps it is time
to bring them back into fashion.
Considering that our words are gathered, and stored, we may have no
choice: have our sanity questioned on a bad day, or we may choose to not participate in cyber-ranting.
We pulled the 5 and 9 of Swords in synchronicity. These cards are pretty dark. The five stands for vanquished or being vanquished, and the nine is about sorrow and
worry. There were underlying cards for
these synchronicities, and the message was “using social media as a measure of
mental health is a dangerous idea; the untrained may take it upon themselves to
interpret messages they see online.” We
also pulled some court cards in the suit of pentacles – this could indicate
someone who takes advantage of someone who as going through a bad period in
life, and charges a hefty fee for help.
TarotDactyl, who is a media coach, added that “the thing about social
media is that we are "broadcasting" and we don't seem to be aware of
that.”
The final cards we pulled in synchronicity were the Queen of
Cups and Empress. These cards were all
about compassion. This is the most
important message of the cards we pulled today.
We need to have compassion and concern towards all our friends – those
online as well as those we meet face to face.
We need to have compassion for ourselves when we are going through bad
times. Perhaps spilling our feelings in
cyberspace may not be our best answer; we may need to stand up when we need
help and seek it – there are many natural remedies to try as was discussed by
the Reading Room. We also can find
resources to recommend to friends when we see them going through hard times.
Jean’s angel card offered
us advice no matter what is happening: “(card
pulled - Page of Gabriel) - be energetic, brave, optimistic, and playful -
follow your passion. You are ready for
any challenge, opportunities for excitement and adventures. Oh, and think before you post…

U-Predict Blog – The Future of the Citizen’s Stipend (Air Date 03/04/2014)
Blogger’s Notes: This
topic is one that will enrage a lot of American citizens – what happens if we
give everyone their basic living expenses? The US government would stop the hundred
or so programs that provide a safety-net, and just give every man, woman, and
child in the US enough money to exist. Now,
before someone hurls the device they are reading across the room, realize that
this is already happening in many countries.
Several oil-rich countries give their citizens a yearly salary for
breathing. Finland also believes in the
stipend. In the United States, Alaska
(yes, the home of “Sister” Sarah Palin who is forever bagging her gums about
the evils of socialism) gives “oil and energy profits” to all citizens of the
state. However, the U-Predict reason
behind asking this question is: entry-level
jobs in many well-paying industries are being taken over by robotic or complex
mechanical systems. What is left, are
service industry jobs that are usually minimum wage, with little or no room for
advancement. How do we provide for
people that are stuck at this end of the wage/career scale?
We started the hour by talking about the American Dream as
understood by heartland America. You
graduate high-school (don’t need college) and you go to work in the automobile,
steel, or aerospace factory where your dad and possibly your grandfather
worked. You start at well above the
minimum wage for a company that pays for a large part of your health insurance;
if you stick at the job, you will get a good pension at 65, and spend the rest
of your life on a cruise ship seeing the world.
If you don’t get this opportunity, it’s because you are lazy. It is because “you don’t want to work.” No one says it’s because these dream jobs are
becoming scarcer and scarcer.
The Reading Room included:
Ivy Lieberman, Jean Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, and ReeNee
Cummins. We also welcome new reader Yvette
Scott joined us – welcome Yvette.
Because this topic is as much spiritual as it is political. Jean Maurie decided to pull Angel Tarot cards
for each question asked. These cards
added a remarkable dimension to the answers we got.
First questions dealt with the philosophy that people who
don’t get an American dream job are lazy, and need to get off their backsides
and do something. The answers we got
were quick and fast – this is old outdated thinking. If someone believes this they are sadly
behind the times and do not understand the current economy.
The angel card that was pulled was: 7 of Ariel; the interpretation was - you have
invested wisely, have patience and wait for the harvest, review your progress and
make plans for your next endeavor. So
the card was acknowledging that our corporations are doing very well. We are seeing growth that leads some
economists to say that the Great Recession is coming to an end. However we are told to review what is going
on and make NEW plans. The Reading Room
and the Angel Tarot agrees that changes are required.
We then asked how we should spend the monies the US
government collects; should it go for military programs and weapons (where it does
now) or should people come first. All
readers in the Reading Room acknowledged that we understood the need for military
defense, but that we all personally feel that people should come first. Ivy Lieberman’s cards perfectly framed the
discussion as we are having it in the US “we are at a point of confusion....too
much info is mudding the waters of truth. Having a single voice would help.” Yes, the voices are muddied – when a behemoth
defense contractor in your area wins a contract, you are told by your
congressman or woman to celebrate the 2,000 GOOD PAYING (translate American
dream jobs) opportunities that are coming to your community. You may be in one of those jobs and say
you’re glad to have it.
And that is
where the muck and muddiness starts. Could that contract money be used to fix up
the rusting bridge you have to drive cross every day to get to work? Could the plant you work at be converted to a
plant that builds biomedical or renewable energy equipment? The
angel card we got for this question was Queen of Raphael; the instructions were
to follow your heart! A love of home and family. Trustworthy psychic
information. This was interesting –
isn’t protecting home and family important? We all agree it is. But are we truly spending ANY of the money
wisely? Many experts on both sides of the fence will say “no”. The rest of the answer was to follow our
hearts and trust or psychic information.
It is time to rethink our priorities.
Jean also pulled the Knight of Gabriel, which translates to time to take
action! Great passion for a cause.
Instinctively knowing just what to do. She
also pulled the 2 of Ariel - It's important to have balance! Working multiple
jobs or projects at once. Making work
fun. Again the cards (both Tarot and
Angel) are saying that our ideas on this subject are outdated, and we need to
completely rethink what we are doing and why.
The final card hints at the satisfaction that would come from knowing
you were building something that would make people’s lives better.
ReeNee out-and-out asked the question if giving everyone a
stipend to cover housing, food, and medical care was a good idea. The cards responded that our society is not
ready for this concept. Neither those
who legislate how the money is spent nor people receiving it would do it in a
completely fair manner. Corners would
quickly be cut; people receiving the aid would find ways to use others to get
more aid. The Angel Tarot pulled for
this question was Archangel Chamuel, who offered “There’s a better way! Pause
for reflection and insight. Dare to be different!” Jean also pulled the Page of Ariel. This card talked about an excellent
opportunity will be offered to you!
Scholarships or the pursuit of education. Time to get to work. So the Angles suggested that we study for the
jobs that will be available in a new economy, and help retrain people so their
skillset matches what is available.
Tarot has told us in this session that we have to get rid of the
laziness theories before we can set up programs to offer this kind of help to
people. However, the Reading Room was
very much in support of educating people for the future. Camille Kea said it best, “sometimes you need
a hand gently on your shoulder.” This
kind of educational opportunity could be that hand leading someone to a better
life.
When looking at the synchronicities for this reading, the
focus was an echo of what the show was about.
We got The Hierophant (the set-in-stone concepts and corporations that
support them), The Wheel of Fortune (reminding is that time passes, and change
is constant), The Tower (we have a lot of shaky foundations on this topic),
Justice (in the end fairness will be the end product –ready or not) and The Sun
(giving up on the shaky foundations and bringing justice with bring joy to all
people). In fact, we PULLED ALL THE
MAJOR ARCANA AT LEAST ONCE, EXCEPT THE DEVIL CARD. Wow!
Tarot sees this as an important topic, a very important topic. It is also very spiritual. All great religious works tell us to take
care of one another. The fact that The
Devil was missing says one thing: for the most part - IT IS NOT THE RESULT OF INTENTIONAL, MISGUIDED
THINKING BY THE RECIPIENTS THAT HAVE GOTTEN THEM TO THIS STATE.” U-Predict’s theory that the economy is
changing and we must prepare for this change is what Tarot wanted to share. Furthermore, Tarot stated that we needed to
look at the problem from an educational standpoint instead of just “giving
away” money.
We also ran the entire suit of Swords, except for the 2 of
Swords. Here the Tarot is pointing out
that we are overlooking the simple idea of balancing these ideas – both the
idea of protecting people and how to protect them, as well as meeting their
needs. All these Swords is about
thinking about these ideas and preparing ourselves for the change society is
going through. As far as
synchronicities, the most common card was the 3 of Wands – yes, the man looking
for opportunities off in the distance.
We need to look up and out instead of staring at our own feet. All we accomplish with staring down is not
looking the people that are hurt the most in the eye.
We had an interesting triple sequence with the 6, 7, and 8
of cups all pulled in synchronicity. Numerologically,
we see the minor cards, 1-10, and a cycle.
When a series comes up, it can point to where you are in the cycle. This cycle says that we are hanging onto our
nostalgia (6 of Cups), but there are daydreamers thinking of the way forward (7
of Cups), and someday, we will recognize the madness of “doing the same thing
over and over and again” and move on (8 of Cups).
We also pulled the 9 of Wands in synchronicity. This is the card of doing the right
thing. It is the card of fairness. It was also the perfect card to end the
discussion. Jean Maurie pulled more
Angel Tarot. The final cards she pulled
were: Archangel Ariel - strength and
grace through kindness. Self - confidence, forgiveness. Ace of Raphael - a positive new emotional
experience, deep and lasting spiritual insights. The final card - Archangel Raziel EPIPHANY, JOY
through spiritual growth, be a light to others. Did the angels give us a positive answer and
way forward? U-Predict…

U-Predict Blog – Does Life/Consciousness Control the Universe instead of Physics? (Air dates: 02/11/2014 & 2/18/2014)
Blogger’s note: Last
week was crazy; no matter how hard I tried, I could find not even 15 or 20
minutes to sit and compose the blog for the 2/11 show. I really wanted to. We had received some very thought-provoking
answers. But between unexpected company
and a screwed-up appointment here and there, it just didn’t happen. Now I know why – I was doing two shows on the
theory of one person, Dr. Robert Lanza, and that data wanted to be presented
together. The Tarot gave us a complete
picture of the theory, and that’s how the Universe wanted it presented. In addition, Jean Maurie and Maggie Lukowski
had channeled information on their radio show, Empowerment for the Soul, that
verified some of the information we got from Tarot. Despite being an avid reader and student of
Tarot, I am a skeptic – so I am always a little surprised when the Universe
smacks me up- side the head…
Scientific theory can’t quite figure out what to do with
consciousness. Many hardcore scientists
see our thinking as a bunch of chemical reactions that are hard-wired by
natural selection that determines what we do under a given circumstance. These
chemical reactions can be broken down further and explained by mathematics and
physical laws of the universe. It does
sound so neat and tidy. However, many of
the mathematical equations don’t give the complete answer or any answer at all
(some appear to be unsolvable). So humanity
comes up with a series of competing theories.
This one involves vibrating strings that hold the universe together
(people who study sound and vibrational healing like that one). Or we can play with a bunch of dimensions
wrapped inside or around each other (this gives credence to the idea of loved
ones passing into another dimension when they die). But that whole pesky consciousness question
still lingers.
Along comes Dr. Robert Lanza. First, he is a medical doctor, doing cutting
edge stem-cell research. He feels it is
his mission to bring sight to the blind and allow the paralyzed to use their
limbs again. In addition to his medical
work, he is also very interested in quantum mechanics – the math stuff I was
describing in the previous paragraph.
However, he is turning the entire theory upside down. He claims that it is consciousness that is
the core of everything, and that this consciousness made us to be observers of
the universe. Because we observe things
in different ways, people see life, and the answers to how things work in
different ways. To quote Dr. Lanza:
“The urgent and primary questions of the universe have been
undertaken by those physicists who are trying to explain the origins of
everything with grand unified theories. But as exciting and glamorous as these
theories are, they are an evasion, if not a reversal, of the central mystery of
knowledge: that the laws of the world were somehow created to produce the
observer. And more important than this, that the observer in a significant
sense creates reality and not the other way around. Recognition of this insight
leads to a single theory that unifies our understanding of the world.”
That was the question that faced the Reading Room – Is this
the most accurate definition of reality?
How does this affect the idea that we create our own reality? The Reading Room for this broadcast
included: TarotDactyl (Mary Brown), Ivy
Lieberman, Jean Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, and ReeNee Cummins. DocVaj joined us again with some interesting
insight on what the cards had to say.
We started and ask if we were just observers? Jean Maurie said “I thought we were here to
create?” I responded that this is what
made his theory so interesting. We are
here to observe – but what we observe determines how we see life; so are we
really creating our reality? What was
most interesting about this observation is that DocVaj commented that “frequencies
change and you rise up to meet the new frequencies you're resonating with.
“ This would tie together the ideas of
observation and creation. What we are
creating is our ability to rise up and meet the new frequency.
We ask three versions of the question – “are we observers;
are we students; are we teachers?” The
answer simply came back “yes.” Further
interpretation of new cards stated that some people are just observers – life
just happens to them and they feel pretty helpless. Some people try to learn from what happens,
and considering how events seem to be cyclical, it does help to interpret
events and affect the outcome for the best.
Others see even deeper patterns, and they become teachers. DocVaj answered a question that causes a lot
of discussion on our community – why do some people understand, why do some
people ignore, and why do some people condemn what we do. Her answer was “Only those on your existing
frequency can be affected by your experience.
That's how it works on this planet.”
Hence, the idea of some being observers, students and teachers. Jean Maurie reminded us that Jesus spoke on
several levels depending on his audience.
Per Dr. Lanza’s theory, we are just observers. So we asked "was the idea of suspending
belief in what we see the key to making miracles happen?” The idea being that
observing is passive; where as co-creation is active involvement. We got The High Priestess in return. When she appears, she is telling us that what
we are asking questions that the Universe feels were are not ready for, or
couldn’t understand the answer. She is
also saying, “Why worry, there is a process – let go and enjoy your life.”
Keeping with the passive idea of suspending disbelief, we
asked if this was the key to making miracles happen; instead of “actively believing”
we suspend disbelief. We went so far as
to ask if this was the secret of the religious masters like Jesus. The answer we got was that Jesus was here to
teach us something more important than that.
He came to teach us to take care of and love one another. Tarot also told us that this concept is more
important than the idea of manifesting for ourselves. (A very interesting side note: We got The
Hanged-Man in synchronicity while we were talking about Jesus, so there is no
doubt that the cards were giving us a very specific answer on this question). Moving on to other synchronicities, we pulled
both The Fool and the Magician. These
cards together overarch the meaning of the entire reading. Realize you interact with the Universe (The
Magician), but just trust the process (The Fool). This was followed by the High Priestess, reminding
us that the Universe intends to keep its secrets. The final Major Arcana was Strength. We do have the strength to be the observers
and have interaction with the Universe.
We do have the strength to gain more and more knowledge; if we but use
it wisely.
Many Minor Arcana were chosen. We pulled the Queen of Wands. This queen is very pragmatic. She talks about going back to the basics –
enjoying life to the fullest, and trusting the process. This Queen matches the message that we have
gotten from the rest of the cards. We
also pulled the 9 of Wands. This is the
card of getting what you need, and being fair to all involved in your
life. Again, we need to think more about
getting what we need instead of just manifesting and manifesting to see if it
works (again).
We pulled the Queen of Cups and the Knight of Cups. The Queen is talking about the love that
surrounds us and supports us; the knight talks about the uneven, adolescent
view that most of us have about the love supporting us. When we get what we want, we feel the love;
when things aren’t going so well, we decide that we are not loved. Again, the message from the Tarot is trust
the process and always feel the love.
We pulled the 3 and 7 of Swords in synchronicity. The 3
of Swords talked about the burden and heartache that many people would face if
they really understood their place in the Universe. Many are ready only to be observers. There is nothing wrong, they are not lesser
beings. We can have compassion to help
them through the rough spots. The 7 of Swords is about taking the energy
out of a situation by being cleaver, by doing something new. This can go back to trusting the process. Knowing that we can learn to observe what
needs to be observed and learning to use that ability wisely. TarotDactyl (Mary
Brown) pulled 3 cards that said it best “taking a leap of faith but still using
what we know from the past and the world around us.”
Second U-Predict Show – This Quantum Theory Proves There is
no Death – and that Reincarnation Happens
To begin the second half of the blog, I again quote Dr.
Robert Lanza:
“The results of quantum physics confirm that observations
can’t be predicted absolutely. Instead, there’s a range of possible
observations each with a different probability. One mainstream explanation, the
“many-worlds” interpretation, states that there are an infinite number of
universes (the “multiverse”). Everything that can possibly happen occurs in
some universe. The old mechanical — “we’re just a bunch of atoms” — view of
life loses its grip in these scenarios.
Biocentrism extends this idea, suggesting that life is a
flowering and adventure that transcends our ordinary linear way of thinking.
Although our individual bodies are destined to self-destruct, the “me” feeling
is just energy operating in the brain. But this energy doesn’t go away at
death. One of the surest principles of science is that energy never dies; it
can neither be created nor destroyed.”
Because he believes in multi-verses, and that our energy
never dies, he feels that we just “start over” somewhere else. That’s a pleasant idea; but it flies in the
face of all the channeled material about reincarnation, the remembrances of
small children, and many people who have had near-death experiences (including
Patti Phare-Camp, who shared her amazing adventure in the reading room).
The Reading Room included some old friends and some new –
but it was a large reading room. It
included: TarotDactyl (Mary Brown), Ivy
Lieberman, Jean Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, Patti Phare-Camp, Koneta Bailey, Joanne
Matthew, Gary Carp and ReeNee Cummins.
Since Dr. Lanza’s theories move space/time from a function
of physics to a function of consciousness, does that mean we can move beyond
time and space to a point where neither exist?
Patti Phare-Camp read “it’s a crutch and a burden we don’t understand”. Joanne Matthew said we need to rethink this
idea; Gary Karp read “we have the tools to move from the straight line we find
ourselves trapped....fear is a probability.”
Fear of changing how we see reality from a metaphysical standpoint is
common in all these readings. We also
see, as we did on the first show on Dr. Lanza’s theory, that many people are
not ready or want to ponder such ideas.
Patti Phare-Camp told us about her near death
experience. She said she remembers
traveling through the void I asked where I was and was told I was nowhere, that
this void was reality and all the "things" we think of (trees,
tables, food, bodies) exist only because we all agree to believe in them.” Having that experience gives credence to Dr.
Lanza’s theory. Jean Maurie and Maggie
Lukowski had Elisa Medhus, MD, medium Jamie Butler and Erik Medhus on their
show “Personal Empowerment for the Soul” on Thursday, February 20. Dr. Elisa
Medhus is the author of the book My Son in the Afterlife. Elisa's book chronicles the conversations she
has had with her son through her own experiences, dreams and spirit
communicators, including Jamie Butler.
Erik, speaking through Jamie Butler basically described the same
environment; a state outside of time, space and the material world. Erik told us this was our real home.
We moved on to talk about reincarnation. Dr. Lanza believes that since time is not
really linear, that we just start over in a different life. He doesn’t go into the ideas of Karma and how
behavior affects the next life time – which is the standard metaphysical
idea. In looking at the cards we pulled
we pulled every Major Arcana card at least once. Understanding how our behavior affects us is
a very important topic to Tarot. There
were 7 Major Arcana cards pulled in synchronicity; with a large Reading Room
one might say that is to be expected.
However, some of these cards were pulled 7 or 8 times. They also gave us a good overview of how
reincarnation works.
We started with The Death card; of course, we’re talking
about what happens to us after we die.
But the real message is that reincarnation is about transformation. Transforming our soul, our consciousness to
greater and greater awareness of the Universe and how it works. We also had The Judgment card. From a pure pictorial sense, the card shows a
judgment day, with people coming out of their graves. However, the interpretation is “wake up! Change how you see things.” So the traditional metaphysical concepts
still apply.
The cards gave a view of how the karmic implications of
reincarnation work. We drive our lives
(The Chariot) we have choices to make (The Lovers) about how we are going to
conduct our lives. Sometimes we feel
like The Hanged Man riding The Wheel of Fortune or heading for The Tower. We overlook the fact that one aspect of The
Hanged Man is that the experience gives us the opportunity to see the situation
in a new way. Again, this is one of the
purposes of Karma. Gary Karp also
brought up the other idea behind The Lovers – that is the power of love
itself. Gary asked about people deciding
to reincarnate to share a life time with a loved one or loved ones. When asked if we can choose these opportunities;
the Tarot answered with the High Priestess in synchronicity. So again, Tarot decided to keep a secret, but
didn’t discourage this idea.
As far as the Minor Arcana, 7’s of all suites were pulled as
well as Aces. The 7 is the number of
mystery, the number of the mystic. The
whole idea of reincarnation is very deep and very important. The Aces remind us that reincarnation gives
us the chance the start again, to consolidate and incorporate what we have
learned into our consciousness no matter how you see the Universe structured.
The Tarot decided to remind us that people get in trouble
when it comes to their attraction to material things (in fact, many theories
claim it’s our attraction to the material that causes us to reincarnate.) We pulled the 5 of Pentacles seven times – in
fact; we began calling it the “5 of penitence”. It was also followed by the 6 of Pentacles
and the 10 of Pentacles. Again Tarot is
reminding us that we need to take care of everyone. This is not about who came make, steal, or
cheat their way to the top. In the end,
charity (6 of Pentacles) and plenty for all (the 10 of Pentacles) is what the
Tarot is asking us to give. This
prompted Joanne Matthew to ask “could reincarnation come to an end?” The cards gave us a positive answer. If we learn about love and sharing as the
law, we can end the “wheel of rebirth”.
Are we anywhere close to that?

U-Predict Blog – The Georgia Guidestones (Air date: 02/04/2014)
Blogger’s notes: For
the 5th show in a row, we pulled every Sword in the suit. Because this synchronicity has spilled over
from our conspiracy series to another topic, I wanted to dig deeper in to what
this could mean. Research came up with
the idea that there are a lot of “head games” going on when Swords rule; I also
have a friend with a master’s degree in Jungian Studies. Her interpretation was that it is about
discernment – telling truth from lies.
That definitely summed up the information we got on the previous shows. Learn how to research the truth instead of
believing everything you are told or read.
Learning to do this is a vital step for our growth personally as well as
for humanity in general.
I will say that I placed the investigation into the Georgia
Guidestones at the end of the conspiracy series because it itself is the
centerpiece of many conspiracy theories involving a secret society wanting to
take over the planet and destroy most of those living on it. There are also statements on the Guidestones
themselves that people construe to be describing a single government for the
entire planet. These concepts both play
into the conspiracy cornerstone of “population control”. Since this is an actual physical location and
object, I thought it would be interesting to see if the cards continued to
interpret in the same manner the hype over the Guidestone conspiracies as Tarot
had on the four cornerstones themselves; Tarot did not disappoint, or change
its point of view.
For anyone not aware of this controversial monument, it is
located in North Georgia in an area known for its production of granite for
monuments and statuary. It was funded by
a man named R. C. Christian who freely admitted that “R. C. Christian” was not
his actual name. Only the banker who
handled the funds knows who Mr. Christian actually was – and he has sworn to
take that secret to his grave. The site
uses archeoastronomy to track the sun through the year. On the monument in 8 languages are the
following instructions for mankind:
1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance
with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and
diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with
tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just
courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external
disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the
infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature -
Leave room for nature.
The monument was erected in 1980, at the height of the Cold
War. Most historians say that the time
of its construction holds the key to its purpose; if mankind destroyed itself
in another atomic war, the Guidestones could be used as a social map to guide the
few remaining humans in a new direction.
Conspiracy theorists disagree.
They claim that the Guidestones put on display the evil plans for world
domination by a group like the Illuminati.
The Reading Room for this broadcast included: Koneta Bailey, Ivy Lieberman, Jean Maurie
Puhlman, Patti Phare-Camp, Camille Kea, and ReeNee Cummins.
We started by asking what the cards could tell us about R.
C. Christian. We ask if he was
associated with anything evil. The cards
told us he was an advanced teacher. We
asked if Mr. Christian was with the Illuminati.
The cards told us he was an advanced teacher. For both these questions, the Emperor was
pulled in Synchronicity, all being upright cards. This would indicate a ruler who wanted
fairness and equality for all his subjects.
Research also revealed that Mr.
Christian was fascinated by Thomas Pane, the Founding Father who wrote “Common
Sense,” a pamphlet that questioned England’s right to rule the colonies.
“Common Sense” is considered a key piece of literature that lead to the
Revolutionary War. Thomas Paine himself
believed in a utopic society that would work out its disputes instead of
resulting in war. The cards agreed that
this is how Mr. Christian saw himself and his work, to guide a new civilization
to another way of life that would be free of the violence that plagues our
current society.
We also pulled The Fool and The Magician in
synchronicity. These cards speak about
having faith in an unknown future, and that each of us has the power to shape
this future. This is a major theme that
has been repeated all throughout this experiment; Tarot wants us to know that
the future is up to each of us individually.
We need to learn to take our power and act for the good.
In addition to pulling all the Swords in the deck, we pulled
the Ace of Swords and the Page of Swords in synchronicity. The Ace was pulled 8 times; the
interpretation for this synchronicity is that these are new and different ideas
that we need to contemplate, a different way to live. The Page indicates that there is a lot of
immaturity about dealing with these new ideas, hence the attractiveness for
people who are conspiracy theorists.
We also pulled every Pentacle in the deck, but only had the
7 of Pentacles in synchronicity. The 7
of Pentacles indicates the need for a lot of patience. Any major changes in society are going to
happen very slowly. It also indicates
the involvement in material wealth. It
begs the question, what would happen to the industrial war machine if people
chose not to fight but to sit and negotiate (a Guidestone guide point)? What would happen if an organization like the
United Nations had the power to settle disputes instead of just making
suggestions (another Guidestone guide point)?
These ideas scare people. When
you add the loss of revenue of not needing large military operations, you can
see how such different principles would take centuries to implement.
The final card pulled in synchronicity was the 3 of
Cups. Like our series on conspiracies,
the end card discussed everyone being happy, everyone being treated
fairly. These also are key points that
Tarot makes over and over again. Would
following the advice on the Georgia Guidestones lead to a happier society? U-Predict…

U-Predict Blog – Cornerstone of Conspiracy IV: Doom and Gloom (Air date 01/28/2014)
According to the British newspaper, The Telegraph, Researchers using meta-data found "clear and compelling evidence" that happiness paves the way to better health and longer life spans.” The review of more than 160 studies found the evidence connecting an upbeat outlook to a healthier life was even stronger than that linking obesity to reduced longevity. The New Age was all about positive thinking. Focused, positive thinking is the cornerstone of Law of Attraction. However, anyone who is seriously involved and absorbed by conspiracies is given a lethal dose of negative thinking. “Give up, you can’t stop it.” “Say nothing “they” are everywhere and want to harm you.” “The man is a dictator.” You will not like the country/world you will live in.” All of these are common comments that are part of any media about conspiracies. We asked Tarot what IS the purpose of this negativity. We also asked if we should listen to the “whistleblowers” that make the videos and write the blogs. The Tarot did not disappoint with thought-provoking information.
First, as with the other broadcasts in the series, we pulled every sword in the deck during the show. This is suit of thought and the outcomes of thought. Either taking one’s point to extreme or fighting against status quo thinking can lead to revolution. This is a possible dynamic of this many swords. This has been the dynamic of this entire series of readings on conspiracies of all stripes. There is an as you sow, so shall you reap; so we have to ask ourselves “What are we going to get back from the Universe for all our negativity?”
We asked what the purpose of all these conspiracies? We got a one-word answer - fear. Fear that leads to anger or that leads to hate; fear that leads to the negativity we see around us. If we go back to the opening paragraph of the blog, we may even be shortening our lives by clinging to such notions.
Since this is an election year, we ask “What is the purpose of conspiracy talk during the upcoming election?” Tarot told us that those who spread the conspiracy want us divided. If we remain divided, those with the most fear will never have to face new ideas that a new, socially networked society will demand. We pulled both the King of Swords and the Knight of Swords in synchronicity. The king is a plain spoken ruler. However this ruler can be very blunt to get his point across. He is paired with the knight. Knights are all about an adolescent dynamic. One minute calm and steady, the next wild and out of control. In fact, we pulled the Knight of Swords an amazing 11 times! When we combine these cards we find personas spreading these conspiracies that appear to be in command and control, but actually there is an overabundance of emotion and irrationality when making their point. In last week’s show about recruiting “sheeple” to a way of thinking, we were told that many conspiracy evangelists were egotists and narcissists who didn’t care what the results of their behavior brought about. They will be right at any cost.
The other Spades we pulled in synchronicity were the 6 of Spades and the 8 of Spades. A common interpretation of the 6 of Spades is that one will want to leave the situation rather than face the outcome. Again, this is the message of conspiracies - you will not want to be around for the end. The 8 of Swords is about being bound - bound by your own thoughts and emotions. This was the definition of the “sheeple” we discussed last week. So these Swords tell us what is expected; you are supposed to run and hide. What happens if we all come together and stand up? That is what the Tarot is asking us to do.
This message fits the archetypes behind the two Major Arcana cards that were pulled in synchronicity. First, we pulled the Tower; more interestingly, it was pulled as a reversed card as many time as it was pulled upright. This shows us two sides of this card - either things are destroyed and all is lost, or people see the shaky foundation and do something to fix it or build something better. The other Major Arcana card was Strength. We have the Strength to see the crumbling foundation of these conspiracies and choose to build something better.
The only Pentacle that was pulled in synchronicity was the 3 of Pentacles. This card can represent legal documents; this would include laws passed by governments. Are we happy about the direction or lack of direction we see in government? Are we will to come together and say “enough”?
The final card pulled in synchronicity was the 9 of Cups, the emotional wish card. The Tarot is challenging to look at our emotions. Look at what it would take to make people happy. We also have to ask ourselves “why are so many in today’s society so desperately clinging to outmoded ideas centered on fear and destruction. What do we need to do to show these folks the light of a better world? U-Predict...

U-Predict Blog – Where Have the Sheeple Come From? (Air Date: 01/21/2014)
According to the Urban Dictionary: Sheeple are “people unable to think for
themselves… those with no cognitive abilities of their own.” Since we are talking about conspiracy
theories and the cornerstones of these theories, sheeple describe the people
who are completely convinced that these conspiracies are absolutely true. There is no curiosity in these people – and
they encourage the development and spread of this misinformation, at
considerable fame and wealth to those who concoct them.
The Reading Room included:
Anita Perez, Ivy Lieberman, Jean Maurie Puhlman, Camille Kea, and ReeNee
Cummins. We had some very interesting
and compelling commentary on this topic by a new visitor, DocVaj.
We started out comparing conspiracy-following sheeple to
people who join a cult. There are some
similarities – people can willingly become sheeple when their lives are in
disarray, and they can blame their problems on the “true cause” as pointed out
by conspiracy theorists. The Tarot told
us that neither mental problems nor excellent mental health would prevent
people for falling for a conspiracy. Because the conspiracies usually trigger fear
or anger, we ask the cards if people who loved negative entertainment (violent
or extremely scary) would more likely fall for conspiracies. DocVaj asked “Is there a known common
denominator within groups that love, love, love to be scared?” The cards pointed to a “yes” answer. Ivy Lieberman’s cards came back with “the
point of the conspiracies IS to add fear.”
DocVaj keyed off the Tarot answer and said “One of the common
denominators is that they don't feel in charge of their lives and being scared
removes them from their issues.” Anita
Perez supported that idea: “it's to keep people afraid of each other -
misdirection or a diversionary tactic.” Jean Maurie Puhlman added “people have
anger within that they use the scary stuff to merge.” So Tarot interprets that sheeple feel they
have no control, and channel their fear and anger through the supporting of
these conspiracy theories!
We asked if people that write or produce personal videos
were only about the potential money that could be made. The answer we got that was “no”; many of
these people do suffer from self-absorption or obsession with their topic. They must be right at any cost. There is no influencing them with facts. DocVaj summed this up brilliantly: They regurgitate what's already in their
minds without introducing and processing new higher insights and data streams.
Ivy also added that “perhaps they believe something will be revealed that will
lend to a revolution...and fame.” The cards were not as sympathetic towards
network shows and networks themselves that breed conspiracy. The cards that appeared the most were
pentacles – yup, all about the money.
If we look at the cards in synchronicity, we have very
interesting patterns and a lot of synchronistic cards. First we’ll look at the Sword suit. The last two shows we have pulled every Sword
in the deck. This week, there was one
card missing, the 4 of Swords – recuperation.
At first I felt that we were told that it was the missing element; on a
second review, I realized that it was the actual element needed. Because we didn’t pull it, it means that it’s
out there as a possibility for sheeple to wake up. Our sanity check for this show, DocVaj
commented “After 25+ years working with the energetic level, the molecular
level where life is created and dis-created ... I've learned that deep and
burning desire is the key catalyst to inspire people to want to know personal
truth. This, for me is a perfect description
of recuperation from this cultural malady.
Ivy’s cards added “the truth is
knowing our path; introspection is important for compassionate living, love the
earth mother.” Doc added “The truth is ... EACH OF HAS ... has all the answers
for the answer is at the center of every perceived problem. Those who teach people how to turn within are
authentic.”
The ladies of the Major Arcana start out this list of
synchronistic cards. The Empress
outshines the High Priestess. The
Empress with her soothing, nurturing ways gives us an idea of how we should
deal with this issue – take care of yourself.
First, look at how much time a day you spend delving into the idea that
the world is a terrible place and something or someone is out to get you. Dial that way back. Unplug, go outside. Read an uplifting book. The High Priestess reminds us that while we
can delve into the mysteries of why people behave the way they do, sometimes it
is just beyond our understanding. We
also got the Fool in synchronicity. No
one knows what the future will bring, but there are a lot of people world-wide
who are spiritually driven to make it a better place. Trust that argument to win. Step out and help make it happen. We also pulled the Queen of Wands in
synchronicity. Both Camille Kea and Ivy
Lieberman talked about the idea of the feminine, and listening to your inner warning
system before jumping to belief about something. This queen, more than the others, is all
about this. This queen tells us to be
pragmatic and balanced and very down-to-earth.
We also got both the Chariot and the Wheel of Fortune. Life is full of ups and downs. We all ride the Wheel. However, we do make decisions every day about
how we live that can lead us into problems down the road. We can “tip” over our Chariot by binging in
negativity – which usually leads to other kinds of binging. And with that dynamic in mind, we pulled the
Temperance/Art card. Live life artfully,
in balance, focused on the good things in life is the archetype of this card. Open your mind like DocVaj said. See what happens when you focus on beauty,
love and truth. The Ace of Cups was
pulled in synchronicity as well. This
card talks of a new love blossoming.
Focusing on beauty, love, and truth will only hasten that blossoming.
The pentacles were equally as interesting this read. We pulled every pentacle but the five. Everyone agrees that this makes money. The concept is everyone making money off of
Sheeple want to make more money off of sheeple.
The Ace of Pentacles says that there will be new ways to make money off
of sheeple – and that is truly sad. The
6 of Pentacles was drawn in synchronisity, which can mean charity. Again, many of the personalities who push
private web sites, blogs and films truly feel they are trying to help people
learn the truth. However, we pull the
card just as many times in reverse.
Again to quote Doc, the people who lead to “the answers are within” are
the only genuine leaders in any movement.
Finally, we got the 9 of Pentacles.
That’s the answer – everyone wants to be comfortable and feel safe. However, if you focus on negative,
frightening, or anger-producing media the Universe is a marvelous mirror to
show you right back what you are focusing on.
One final point of interest for our readers and listeners –
within 24 hours of our broadcast, the magazine Mentalfloss ( http://mentalfloss.com/article/31152/5-disorders-caused-internet-tv-magazines-and-movies
) came out with this marvelous article
about 5 mental disorders that are caused by media. After our study of sheeple, it is worth a
read.
